Published and developed by Nintendo R&D1, this futuristic driving video game was released in 1985.

The player take son the role of Mach Rider and has to make his way through the ten sectors in order to reach the city till it is captured by the enemy. You will have to compete with violent drivers trying to force your way off the road, rocks, obstacles, and the road's serpentine tracks. If they manage that and you get destroyed, Mach Rider will merely break apart, but then try to reform himself so that you can keep on playing. There are three different play modes in Mach Rider: On the Fighting Course, On the Endurance and Solo Courses, The Endurance Course. The game features a level editor, similar to such in Excitebike. It allows to create the player’s own Endurance Course tracks. Unfortunately, they are erased once the NES is off.
